The Americana Music Association is a professional trade organization whose mission is to advocate for the authentic voice of American Roots Music around the world. The Americana Music Association works closely with those in the industry, whether artists, labels, radio stations, retailers, print media, festivals, agents, publishers, etc. to help organize and build the infrastructure necessary for the genre to achieve success both creatively and financially.
One of their biggest events is the annual AmericanaFest held in Nashville, Tennessee. From September 11-16, 2018, thousands of artists, fans, and industry professionals from all over the world will gather in Music City for networking, panels, seminars and countless concerts. The 19th AmericanaFest is spread out over 50 different legendary music venues across Nashville, featuring hundreds of sizzling nightly showcases, special events highlighting the culture of Music City, comprehensive music industry panels at its conference headquarters and its hallmark Americana Honors & Awards at the historic Ryman Auditorium.
There are four different ways to attend AmericanaFest.The Gold Circle package is for the ultimate fan which includes a visit to the Honors & Awards rehearsal, premiere seating during the show and more. The Conference Registration is a priority access pass. The Festival Wristband is the best-valued festival pass in the nation and will grant folks access to all of the nightly showcases as well as select special events. If you’re still wanting the experience and don’t mind waiting in lines, this pass is right for you. Lastly, you can take a chance and buy a door ticket at a small price for shows that are not yet at capacity and even attend for free as there are numerous special events across Music City that are open to the public.
Attendees can do a lot or a little at AmericanaFest as it’s a melting pot of Americana’s influences ranging from roots, folk, country, blues and soul-based music. Each year, the event brings together legendary artists, the next generation of rising stars, fans, and industry professionals for six days of education, engagement and music.
