Nashville Film Fest is Back May 10-19, 2018

The 49th annual Nashville Film Festival will take place May 10-19, 2018, at the Regal Hollywood 27 Theaters (719 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN). The acclaimed event will feature films by respected veterans, up-and-coming directors, and first-time filmmakers. NashFilm is an Academy Award qualifier, so the movies you see could be Oscar contenders in the future

The Nashville Film Fest will be at one place, at 10 theaters over the course of 10 days. Various access laminates are available as well as the option to purchase single tickets. Various genres from drama to music will be represented along with areas of interest ranging from 3D to Tennessee. Short films will also will be showcased. One that might appeal to Elvis fans and locals is Now or Never a brief documentary about the dismantling of Colonel Parker’s Madison, TN home which also served as the headquarters of the Elvis Fan Club for many years. Now or Never is screening on May 15, 2018 at 6:30pm.

Other highlights include the following: Steven Tyler: Out On a Limb, Rosemary’s Baby 50th Anniversary, All Things Must Pass: The Rise & Fall of Tower Records, Benched, Brampton’s Own, Breath, Daphne & Velma, Eighth Grade, Harold and Maude, On Chesil Beach, One Vote, Mississippi Requiem.

In addition to a wide selection of movies there is “The Creator’s Conference a place to connect with peers, a place to discover the latest industry trends, and a place to refine your skills and abilities. This annual event, which coincides with the Nashville Film Festival, combines the professional development of a conference with the kinetic energy of a festival. In this unique environment, you can discover what types of projects film buyers are currently looking for and hear insights from top Hollywood producers and industry executives.”

The Nashville Film Festival was voted one of “50 Film Festivals worth the entry fee” by MovieMaker Magazine, it was also mentioned as One of the Best Film Festival Prizes by Film Festival Today and named by Brooks Institute as one of the top 5 film festivals in the U.S that presents the best in World Cinema, American indies, documentaries, and numerous short form programs. Note that the movies shown at this annual gathering are independently made, and an increasing number of which are premiering at NashFilm. Because this stage is early in a film’s life, few, if any have gone through the rating process, so please keep that in mind when making choices for the family – otherwise come on down to the Regal Hollywood 27 May 10-19, 2018 to experience an expansive selection of quality films.
